Former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza appeared to be in phenomenal shape going into her most recent fight.
Last Sunday, at a UFC Fight Night in Oklahoma City, Esparza earned a unanimous decision victory over strawweight contender Maryna Moroz.
Days after the fight, Esparza revealed she only cut four pounds for her last fight. Esparza posted photos of herself before and after her weight cut on Twitter. In the photos, which can be seen below, the former champion looks to be in amazing shape.
“I cut 4lbs for this fight…. it’s all about that long term dieting, not the drastic cuts,” Esparza said on Twitter.
Esparza was the first ever UFC women’s strawweight champion. She won the title after defeating Rose Namajunas in the finals of the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Esparza is also a former Invicta strawweight champion. She has notable MMA wins against Nina Ansaroff, Felice Herrig, Bec Rawlings, and Juliana Lima.
