On Thursday, things got out of hand between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva at the Bellator: NYC Press Conference.
After the fighters talked to the media, all of the fighters on the card went face-to-face with their opponents.
When Sonnen and Silva squared off, Silva shoved Sonnen and security was forced to jump in and separate the two fighters.
“I fall for it every time, and I let that guy get in arms reach,” Sonnen said. “Every single time I let him do it, and every single time he touches me.”
Sonnen was upset after Silva put his hands on him. During his interview, Sonnen said since the New York State Athletic Commission is so unpredictable, it wasn’t smart of Silva to put his hands on him. He claimed Silva could have put the fight in jeopardy.
“The reason if frustrates me is because I fall for the same thing,” Sonnen said. “I keep letting him get close and I just can’t trust him.”
Sonnen will fight Silva in the main event of Bellator: NYC on June 24 at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City.
