Ido Portal, one of the coaches for UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, has arrived in Ireland in preparation for McGregor’s boxing debut.
McGregor is set to make his professional boxing debut against all-time great Floyd “Money” Mayweather. The two will compete in a 12-round boxing match that will be contested at 154 pounds.
On Tuesday, Portal posted a photo with McGregor and his team following their latest practice.
Portal specializes in helping McGregor with his movement. Portal gained stardom after being made fun of by McGregor’s rival Nate Diaz.
In the lead up to one of their fights, Diaz said McGregor was too busy “playing touch butt with that dork in the park.” That “dork” was Portal.
Mayweather will put his perfect boxing record of 49-0 on the line when he fights the UFC champion. Mayweather vs. McGregor is set to take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
