Controversy Surrounding Tim Hague’s Death, Was Unfit For Boxing License, But…

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitor and mixed martial arts veteran Tim Hague has passed away at the age of 34. The fighter suffered a brain injury after a knockout loss in a boxing match Friday night. The fighter was quickly rushed to an intensive care unit. However, Tim Hague passed away on June 18.

Now, a new story has arisen that Tim Hague may have not been fit to be licensed to compete inside a boxing ring for Friday night.

The Edmonton Combative Sports Commission permitted Tim Hague to compete. However, as Middle Easy has reported, Hague has suffered seven knockout losses within the past two years.

Boxers are required by the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission to perform a CAT scan. However, the fashion in which these scans are approved or disproved is unclear.

Erik Magraken has reported over Twitter, “According to the Edmonton Regs Tim Hague was not fit to be licensed till at least April 2018 given his recent string of TKO/KO losses.”
