Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino tweeted, and then quickly deleted, asking the UFC about the gate and ratings for the last UFC Fight Night event.
Last Saturday, the UFC hosted a fight night event in Auckland, New Zealand. In the main event, heavyweight Mark Hunt defeated Derrick Lewis by TKO.
After his victory, Hunt was reportedly paid over $800,000, which is higher than what most fighters make.
Justino was happy for Hunt’s success but seemed to question why he was paid so much. “Cyborg” tweeted the UFC asking questions, but quickly deleted it. Here is what the tweet said:
“Glad to hear Mark Hunt was paid 810,000$ does anyone know the #UFCAuckland ticket gate or the FS1 ratings? @seanshelby @ufc @danawhite ????”
Many fighters, including UFC champions, do not get compensated as much as Hunt did in his last fight. With fighter pay being such a hot topic in the UFC, Justino was curious as to why he was paid so highly.
Justino is expected to make her return to the UFC at UFC 214 on July 29. However, the UFC has yet to officially announce her opponent.
