UFC President Dana White has been attempting to lock in an epic cross-promotional match up between UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, neither the mixed martial arts or boxing communities are entirely behind the UFC president.
Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya voiced his opinion on the matter. The boxer explained that he is not behind the unorthodox match up. Dana White was quick to respond to the boxing legend with some heated words of his own.
Now, it would appear that Oscar De La Hoya has returned the fire. Appearing on ESPN’s Sports Center, the boxing phenom stated “He thinks my fights suck. I say the same thing. That fight is going to suck, because McGregor is not a boxer. He does not have one round of experience inside the ring as a boxer.”
