More details have been reported about the amount of money Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor will make in their highly anticipated boxing match.
According to ESPN Deportes, Mayweather will make $175 million, while McGregor will make $100 million.
UFC President Dana White already reported that he believed McGregor would make $100 million for his boxing debut. However, while everyone knew Mayweather would be paid more, there was no official word on how much more the boxing legend would be compensated.
Last week, Mayweather and McGregor officially agreed to terms to fight each other in a boxing match. The fight will be contested at 154 pounds and the two will compete for 12 rounds.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
After two years of being retired, Mayweather is returning to the sport of boxing to compete for the 50th time in his illustrious career. He is currently undefeated with 49 wins, while McGregor will be fighting in his first professional boxing match.
