Details: Multi-City Press Tour Planned For Mayweather vs. McGregor Mega-Fight, Stop In Ireland Possible

UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor and undefeated boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. are meeting inside a boxing ring on Aug. 26 in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, that will not be the first time the two fighters meet face-to-face for this epic cross-promotional match up.

Showtime Sports Executive Vice President Stephen Espinoza recently appeared on The MMA Hour. On the episode Espinoza explained that she believes fans should get multiple opportunities to see the two fighters interact.

As transcribed by MMA Mania, Espinoza stated “I think it would be a big miss as purely a fan to not see the two of them interacting repeatedly. Mayweather did it, I think we ended up at 10 cities in 11 days for the Canelo fight. I don’t think it’s going to be something like that, but I do think this is the kind of thing where people are going to want to touch it and feel it and see these two interact.

“So I do think late June, early July there’ll be multiple cities. Not a huge tour, but more than a couple. And I think it’ll be something that’ll be really entertaining to watch.”

It’s also worth noting, heavy rumors tie this press-tour to a stop in Ireland… Which will be something that Floyd Mayweather will have never been subjected to. An insane mass of populous, rooting for his opponent. This could be fun.
