Former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw is no longer planning on moving down to the flyweight division.
Dillashaw was interested in cutting down to 125 pounds in order to fight UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson. However, Johnson was not interested in the fight due to Dillashaw having never competed in the weight class.
On Friday, ESPN reported Dillashaw no longer plans to cut to 125 pounds due to him not knowing for sure whether or not he would get a title opportunity.
Dillashaw was scheduled to fight UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt for his title on July 8 at UFC 213, but Garbrandt is suffering from a back injury and was forced to withdraw from the fight.
With Dillashaw no longer planning on going to flyweight, he will once again focus on fighting Garbrandt once he is cleared to defend his championship.
Dillashaw is currently on a two-fight win streak. He is coming off a decision win over John Lineker back in December. Last July, Dillashaw earned a decision win over Raphael Assuncao.
Per multiple sources, TJ Dillashaw is no longer on a plan to make 125 pounds by August. Sounds like his focus is back on Cody Garbrandt.

Dillashaw's cut to get down to 125 was apparently going well, but with the DJ fight not coming together, no reason to do it for time being.
