Bellator 180 is set to go down tonight, June 24, inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. With the weigh-ins now complete, the fighters are set to face off for the epic event. However, one mixed martial artist tried desperately to change his fate at the weigh-ins.
Sergio da Silva was initially set to face off against Matt Rizzo at a 130 pound catchweight. However, Sergio da Silva weighed in at 137.6 pounds.
In the video below, Sergio da Silva can be seen attempting to alter his weight on the scale by removing one of his feet. The fighter later asked if he could return for the weigh-in, but was told by officials that he must do so now.
As reported by News Day, the two fighters are still set to face off. However, the bout is now a 137.6 pound catch weight event.
