Top UFC strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha earned a decisive victory over Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 212 on Saturday, putting the competitor that much closer to another title shot. Yet, Gadelha is in no rush to the title.
In a media scrum following her UFC 212 victory, Gadelha explained that she needs to work on a few things before she attempts to take on UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk for another time.
“I don’t think a fight with Joanna makes sense now.” She said.
“I think I am the best strawweight out there. I just had problems that I had to fix. Now, I’m fixing my problems. So, I need a little bit of time to become the fighter that I want to be to fight Joanna again and beat her.” The fighter explained.
