UFC Hall-of-Famer and two time former welterweight champion Matt Hughes has suffered a serious accident. Now, former UFC welterweight champion and former rival George St-Pierre has come forward with a message for the Hall-of-Famer.
Matt Hughes was driving his truck across railroad tracks when a train struck his vehicle on the passenger side. Now, the fighter was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he later entered a coma.
Now, George St-Pierre has come forward with a message for the fighter.
Over Instagram, he said “We had tough fights but Matt Hughes is still an idol and one of the best there’s ever been, inside and outside the octagon. I have no doubt he’s going through this battle like the great champion he is and we all hope for a full recovery from this terrible accident.”
