Top UFC title contender Alexander Gustafsson is not a fan of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
While doing an interview in his native Sweden, Gustafsson shared his opinion of Jones.
“I don’t like him. He’s had it all. He’s had it all and he’s just thrown it all away. I don’t like his personality. He wastes his talent, wastes everything he’s competed for. He’s got three daughters himself and he sits there at the press conference with DC and says that he snorted coke the weekend before he fought DC and he’s acting proud about it. For me, it’s like, ‘Did he just say that? Is he completely fucking retarded? Like, what is wrong with the man?’ I think he is rotten to the core as a human being. I think he is worthless as a human being. He’s definitely the best fighter in the world, no question about it. I’ve said it before, I’ve got respect for his career and his fighting. But as a human being. He’s worthless.”
Gustafsson is coming off a knockout win over Glover Teixeira last Sunday. He is currently the top contender in the UFC 205-pound division.
At UFC 214, on July 29, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier is scheduled to fight Jones. It is likely Gustafsson will be next in line for the winner.
