There is no bad blood between upcoming heavyweight opponents Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis.
Both heavyweight contenders talked to the media on Wednesday and showed nothing but respect towards their opponent.
“At the end of the day, Derrick has taken his life from a negative to a positive just like me,” Hunt said. “You can’t knock a man for getting better from whatever hand he had been dealt by God. He’s doing the right night. I don’t have anything bad to say about him. I give him respect, until Sunday.
Lewis also went on to share kind words towards Hunt.
“I believe he is one of the toughest out there,” Lewis said. “If I wanted an easy fight, I would have called out the (Francis Nganou) guy from France, but I wanted a tougher fight. I chose smart. I think this is going to be an exciting fight.”
On Saturday, Hunt will fight Lewis in the main event of a UFC Fight Night event in New Zealand.
