It was intense when UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes went face-to-face with her upcoming opponent Valentina Shevchenko on Thursday.
The two fighters squared off during media day for UFC 213, which takes place July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
In the video below, you can watch both fighters go toe-to-toe in preparation for their main event fight.
While the staredown was intense, both women were more civil this time around. In May, the two women squared off at the UFC Summer Kickoff Press Conference. During the event, Nunes punched Shevchenko when the two went face-to-face.
UFC 213 will be the second time these two women fight. In March 2016, at UFC 196, Nunes earned a decision win against Shevchenko.
After that fight, Nunes earned her opportunity at the UFC women’s bantamweight title.
Nunes won the title by submitting Miesha Tate. She has since defended the title by knocking out Ronda Rousey.
Shevchenko earned her title opportunity by winning a decision against Holly Holm and submitting Julianna Pena.
