UFC contender Jimi Manuwa thinks UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier is a “bully.”
“To me, he’s like a schoolboy bully. One of those fat kids in school who’s bigger than everyone and throws his weight around and tries to laugh at everyone,” Manuwa told MMAjunkie.
“That’s how he comes across to me. But we’re not in school anymore. We’re grown men, and I don’t stand for any of that shit. He can keep on with his trash-talk, and I’ll show him what’s what when we’re face to face.”
Manuwa and Cormier are both scheduled to compete at UFC 214 on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Cormier is scheduled to defend his title against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones in the main event.
Manuwa will fight fellow contender Volkan Oezdemir in a light heavyweight fight with major title implications.
With Cormier and Jones’ history of their fights not staying intact until fight night, Manuwa could find himself in a fight against either of the two if one is forced to withdraw.
