Leaked documents show that it will cost a company $10 million to sponsor the highly anticipated boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
ESPN gained access to documents sent out by WME-IMG seeking companies’ interest in sponsoring different aspects of the boxing match.
According to ESPN:
“The sponsoring company would get its logo at the center of the ring at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, its branding on ring girls, on two of the ropes and in the two nonfighter corners of the ring. The deal also includes sponsorship of the first minute of every round on the broadcast and $500,000 in tickets.”
This is almost double the sponsorship price for the fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which had a sponsorship price of $5.6 million.
Companies also have the option of only sponsoring one of the fighters corners for a reduced price of $5 million.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Saturday, August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
