UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has sent out a new message to boxing great Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
After a training session, McGregor sent out a photo on Tuesday appearing to be in great shape leading up to his next fight. The photo he tweeted can be seen below.
“Just tell us the ruleset,” McGregor said in his caption of the photo. It seems as if a boxing match between McGregor and Mayweather is now official.
Sources close to Mayweather have said he has agreed to a deal to come out of retirement and fight the UFC champion. Both McGregor and UFC President Dana White have already announced that McGregor had agreed on a deal to make the dream boxing bout take place.
Mayweather’s team has requested the date of Aug. 26 in Nevada, which seems to be the date the bout will take place. This is sooner than any reports had previously reported.
McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut, while Mayweather will be fighting for the 50th time. Mayweather is undefeated with 49 wins.
