Within the sport of mixed martial arts, referees exist for the safety of the fighters involved. In the video below, it becomes obvious why a referee can be necessary. However, the referee faces an issue he probably didn’t expect inside the cage.
Mixed martial artist Takeo “Cerberus Take” Shiina faced off against Jung Hyun Lee back in 2010 under the Grachan promotion. The fighter earned a knockout over his opponent. However, the fight did not end there.
After knocking out Jung Hyun Lee, Shiina continued to pummel his opponent. Referee Samio Kimura then attempted to step in to halt the fighter. However, the fighter quickly aimed his fury at the referee, putting the referee out of the fight as well. Then, Shiina continued to beat on his opponent until he was overwhelmed by spectators.
