Before he was the most popular MMA fighter in the world, UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor played soccer in his home country of Ireland.

McGregor is currently awaiting the biggest payday of his life after officially booking a fight against Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

On Wednesday, both parties announced that they had agreed to compete against each other in a boxing match. The fight will be 12-rounds and will be contested at 154 pounds.

McGregor was able to talk Mayweather into coming out of retirement. Mayweather had retired from the sport of boxing following his last fight almost two years ago.

Mayweather is currently undefeated with 49 wins, while McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut. However, McGregor is on a two-fight win streak in the UFC.

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
