Former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz may have been struck by Cupid’s arrow.
The former champion posted a cryptic photo on his Instagram page that suggests he is in love. Diaz’s post can be seen below.
Diaz has been relatively quiet when it comes to the world of MMA. Despite not fighting for over two years, Diaz is still one of the most popular fighters in the sport.
Diaz last fought in Jan. 2015. He fought former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva in a fight that was later ruled a no-contest due to both fighters failing drug tests. Diaz failed test was due to him testing positive for marijuana use.
Diaz was suspended for 18 months following his failed test. His suspension expired almost a year ago, but still, Diaz has shown little interest in returning to the sport.
Despite being absent from the world of MMA, Diaz still gets called out by fighters. UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley has actively requested a fight with Diaz since winning the title last year.
