ONE Championship continues to have major success in Asia, making it the continent’s premiere MMA organization.
Victor Cui, CEO of ONE Championship, tweeted that the promotion achieved high ratings in the Philippines.
“ONE achieved the highest rating of any martial arts program & edged out live 2017 NBA Playoffs coverage in Phil,” Cui said in a tweet.
While the UFC is the most recognizable MMA promotion in the world, ONE Championship has quickly become one of the top promotions in the world alongside Bellator MMA.
The promotion is home to some of the top fighters in the world including ONE Heavyweight Champion Brandon Vera, ONE Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, ONE Bantamweight Champion Bibiano Fernandes, and ONE Women’s Atomweight Champion Angela Lee.
ONE’s next event, ONE Championship: Light of a Nation, will take place June 30. The event is headlined by a middleweight title fight between ONE Middleweight Champion Vitaly Bigdash and Aung La N Sang.
