Pic: Roy “Big Country” Nelson Makes First Appearance In All Bellator MMA Gear

On Tuesday, Bellator MMA revealed a picture of Roy Nelson wearing Bellator gear for the first time.

Nelson recently signed with Bellator after his UFC contract expired. In the photo below, you can see Nelson showing off his new Bellator gear.

Nelson left the UFC coming off of a loss. In April, he lost a decision to former Bellator Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov.

With Bellator signing Nelson, the promotion now has a decent list of heavyweight fighters on their roster. All signs point to Bellator crowning a new heavyweight champion in the near future. Bellator vacated their heavyweight title after Vitaly Minakov left the promotion.

Nelson already has victories over some of the top heavyweights in Bellator. While in the UFC, Nelson picked up wins over Cheick Kongo and Matt Mitrione.

Nelson is one of the most beloved heavyweights fighters in MMA history. He has notable wins in his career against Brendan Schaub, Stefan Struve, Mirko Cro Cop, Jared Rosholt, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, and UFC Hall of Famer Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
