Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Al Iaquinta is riding an impressive knockout victory over Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez in April. Having returned from a two year absence from the promotion, Iaquinta is now on a five fight win streak. It would appear he has a next opponent in mind.
Over Twitter, Al Iaquinta decided to call out on of his fellow mixed martial artists. The fighter stated, “I have nothing but respect for the @GilbertMelendez but I think he owed me a fight maybe the 29 of the July.”
Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez is currently on a three fight losing streak in the UFC. Most recently, the fighter suffered a unanimous decision loss to Edson Barboza at UFC on FOX 20.
