UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway is now one of the top five pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC.
Last Saturday, at UFC 212, Holloway defeated Jose Aldo by TKO to become UFC featherweight champion.
After his win, Holloway skyrocketed in the official UFC pound-for-pound rankings. Holloway is currently ranked No. 5 in the pound-for-pound rankings.
Prior to his win, Holloway was the interim featherweight champion and was ranked outside of the top 10 in the pound-for-pound rankings.
Following his loss at UFC 212, Aldo plummeted in the rankings. He is now ranked No. 10 in the pound-for-pound rankings. He had previously been ranked No. 4.
Holloway is currently on an 11-fight win streak, which is one of the greatest UFC win streaks in UFC history. He has defeated many of the best featherweights in the world including Cub Swanson, Charles Oliveira, Jeremy Stephens, Ricardo Lamas, and Anthony Pettis.
Aldo suffered just his second loss in the legendary UFC career. His first loss came in 2015 when he was knocked out by Conor McGregor.
