On Saturday night, Aaron Pico made his highly anticipated debut in the sport of mixed martial arts.
At age 20, Pico was given the opportunity to make his debut live on pay-per-view at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City for Bellator: NYC.
Unfortunately, Pico’s long-awaited debut didn’t go as planned. Relatively unknown lightweight fight Zach Freeman shocked the MMA world when he submitted Pico in just 24 seconds.
In the video above, you can relive this exciting fight. The fight started with both fighters throwing hands that appeared to stun their opponent. However, Freeman regained his composure first and immediately went for a guillotine choke.
Pico fought the submission for as long as he could but he was forced to submit and still went unconscious from Freeman’s vicious squeeze.
