UFC heavyweight Travis Browne recently revealed what it was like to propose to former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
“I wanted everything to be perfect. That’s the least she deserves is me being perfect,” Browne said about proposing to Rousey. “That was the pressure I put on myself.”
Browne went on to say he was more nervous about proposing to Rousey than he is going into a fight.
“That’s life. Fighting is a part of life. Like this is my career and all that stuff, but for me, I’m a family man,” Browne said. “I absolutely love my family. That’s the closest thing to my heart, and to me, that’s life. That’s why I have to separate myself from my kids while I’m in camp because I know that I’ll be a father first and skip out on practice to be there with my kids or be there for my family.”
Browne is scheduled to fight Oleksiy Oliynyk on July 8 at UFC 213 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
