Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has been coming under some fire from the mixed martial arts promotion as of late. Now, the fighter is fighting back, with the support of some of his fellow competitors.
Following the cancellation of UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt’s match with former champion T.J. Dillashaw, Dillashaw set his sights on Demetrious Johnson. However, Johnson is not interested in facing the former bantamweight champion.
After being pressured by UFC President Dana White to accept T.J. Dillashaw’s fight offer, “Mighty Mouse” released a lengthy statement against the UFC president and his recent practices.
Now, some of the mixed martial arts promotion’s fellow fighters have begun voicing their opinions and taking the side of the flyweight champion.
I've always had the utmost respect for @MightyMouseUFC, and I have even more after today.

This a cut throat business and the image that all you fans have on how things work is 100% wrong.

Although I really would like to see DJ vs TJ, they're doing, one of the best ever, a huge disservice treating him & the division this way https://t.co/FSYfStYMrY
