Chael Sonnen looks to be in great shape leading up to his main event fight on Saturday night.
At Bellator: NYC, Sonnen will fight longtime rival Wanderlei Silva in a grudge match.
Sonnen is fighting in Bellator for the second time. In January, he made his Bellator debut after being away from the sport for over three years.
Sonnen had been suspended from the sport after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs on numerous occasions.
Now, Sonnen claims that he is “nearly” clean. While talking to media, Sonnen likes to joke about his past with PEDs, but he assures everyone that he will not fail any drug test regarding his upcoming fight.
Sonnen’s rivalry with Silva dates back to their days in the UFC. The two fighters coached opposite of each other on a Brazilian season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Bellator: NYC will take place June 24 at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event will air live on pay-per-view.
