Eliza Wasni, 16-year-old girl, has been charged as an adult for first-degree murder. Wasni is suspect for the murder of a Chicago based Uber driver.
As reported by CBS 46, Wasni allegedly walked out of a Walmart with a knife and a machete. The girl then climbed into the car and began hacking at the driver. Grant Nelson, a resident of Wilmette, later died of his wounds.
The man eventually fled the scene, pulled over his vehicle and screamed “Help me, help me! I’m going to die!” Residents of a nearby condominium building called 911.
