Texts messages between UFC President Dana White and heavyweight Mark Hunt has been released regarding Hunt’s lawsuit against the promotion.
Hunt is suing the UFC, White, and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar due to Lesnar testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs for their fight last July.
At UFC 200, Hunt had originally lost a decision to Lesnar. However, the fight was overturned to a no contest due to Lesnar’s failed drug test.
Since the fight, Hunt has sued all the parties involved because he believes they all knew Lesnar was going to test positive for PEDs.
Before a fighter returns to the UFC after a long layoff, a fighter must undergo months of drug testing from USADA. Lesnar was given a waiver and was only tested when the fight was taking place. This adds to Hunt’s claim that all parties involved knew he would fail.
In the text messages between White and Hunt, which can be seen below, you can see White assure Hunt that Lesnar was being heavily tested by USADA.
