UFC featherweight Jared Gordon has come a long way in a short amount of time.
On Wednesday, the UFC fighter confessed to having a troubled past not too long ago, but now he has recovered and has made it to the UFC.
“18 months ago I was shooting crack and heroin in a motel by QueensBridge projects, now I’m signed to UFC,” Gordon said in a tweet.
Gordon will be making his UFC debut at a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City on June 25. He will fight Michael Quinones on the preliminary portion of the card.
Gordon currently has an MMA record of 12-1. He has five wins by knockout or TKO with a couple of submission victories as well.
The Oklahoma City UFC card will be headlined by a pivotal lightweight fight between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee. Former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks will also compete on the card as he fights Tim Boetsch in a middleweight bout.
