UFC strawweight Felice Herrig recently revealed that the UFC requires female fighters to take pregnancy tests just days before they are scheduled to fight.
On Thursday, Herrig posted a picture on her Instagram page of an alarm reminding her to take the pregnancy test.
“Well isn’t it embarrassing when this won’t stop popping up on your phone. The Ufc requires a blood – pregnancy test 10 days before the fight. So here I am,” Herrig said in her caption.
Herrig is scheduled to fight Justine Kish on June 25 at a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City.
Herrig is coming off an upset win over previously undefeated Alexa Grasso in February. Overall, Herrig is on a two-fight win streak in the UFC.
Herrig will fight another undefeated fighter when she steps into the cage against Kish. With six wins, Kish has notable wins over Randa Markos and Nina Ansaroff.
