UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor is set to face off with Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the payday of his career. After a lengthy back and forth process, the two fighters have signed their contracts and the fight is on. However, some of the UFC’s top competitors are growing uneasy with the promotion’s treatment of the lightweight champion.
Some of the UFC’s top competitors have shown some distaste for the promotion’s seemingly heavy focus on Conor McGregor. Now, UFC President Dana White has shot back with his response.
In a recent media conference call, as reported by MMA Mania, Daan White stated “I got all these guys crying about ‘Oh Conor this and Conor that. Shut up. Step up and fight like Conor McGregor fights. Take the big fights when someone falls out on four or five days notice.”
Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are set to face off on Aug. 26 for a 12 round boxing match at 154 pounds inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
