Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie has expressed her interest in dropping back down to her native weight class. Now, the mixed martial arts promotion has elected to strip the champion of her belt and offer the title to two other featherweight competitors.
Now, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and Megan Anderson will fight each other for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim, Calif.
With “Cyborg” and Anderson fighting for the featherweight belt, the mixed martial arts promotion has provided an update to the official UFC featherweight rankings. In the rankings, the champion of the division has been removed from the rankings system, leaving the division completely open.
