UFC Results: Arlovski Gets Dominated, Loses Co-Main Event In Singapore

On Saturday the UFC returned to Singapore with an exciting Fight Night event featuring a plethora of former champions and top contenders.

In the main event, former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm is set to do battle against former title challenger Bethe Correia.

Before the elite bantamweights square off, the UFC once again presented a full day’s worth of intriguing matches.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski attempted to break his losing streak against Marcin Tybura in the co-main event.

Arlovski hit a hard spinning back kick to Tybura’s body early in the fight. Tybura then took Arlovski to the ground. Tybura eventually took Arlovski’s back and then moved into mount. While on top, Tybura unleashed punches on Arlovski. Tybura busted Arlovski open from his ground-and-pound. Arlovski rolled over exposing his back. In the final seconds of the round, Arlovski got back to his feet and began unloading punches on his opponent.

Arlovski came out aggressive to start the second round. After landing a few punches, Arlovski engaged in a clinch with Tybura. After failing to get Tybura to the ground, Arlovski swarmed him with punches. Arlovski then briefly landed a takedown, but Tybura got back to his feet quickly. The two heavyweights then exchanged dominant position up against the cage. In the final minute, the referee separated the fighters. The round ended with Arlovski landing strikes on Tybura.

Arlovski started the final round with throwing kicks. The fight quickly got back into a clinch position up against the cage. Tybura fought for a takedown but he struggled to get Arlovski on his back. Eventually, Tybura got the fight where he wanted it. Tybura managed to secure the former champion’s back. He then moved into full mount. Arlovski rolled back over on his stomach. The fight ended with Tybura on top landing punches.
