On Saturday the UFC returned to Singapore with an exciting Fight Night event featuring a plethora of former champions and top contenders.
In the main event, former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm is set to do battle against former title challenger Bethe Correia.
Before the elite bantamweights square off, the UFC once again presented a full day’s worth of intriguing matches.
Justin Scoggins returned to the flyweight division on the preliminary portion of the card. He returned to 125 pounds to fight Ulka Sasaki.
Scoggins immediately landed a suplex at the start of the fight. Sasaki managed to get back to his feet. Scoggins then closed the distance and went for another takedown, but Sasaki reversed the position. Scoggins got back to his feet and regained dominant position. Both fighters stopped grappling and began trading kicks. Scoggins later dropped Saski with a straight left hand. Scoggins secured top position and threw punches from on top for the remainder of the round.
Both fighters traded kicks to the body to start the fight. Scoggins dropped Sasaki with a body kick. He then began to throw hard punches and elbows on the ground. After struggling on the ground, Sasaki managed to get off of his back. Sasaki then reversed the position and got full mount. He then moved to Scoggins back and submitted him with a rear-naked choke.
