Despite her UFC career seeming to be over, the UFC is still promoting former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey as No. 3 in her division.
As of right now, Rousey is ranked No. 3 in the official UFC women’s bantamweight rankings. She is ranked third in her division despite not having a win since Aug. 2015.
In her last fight, Rousey was knocked out by UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 last December.
In her previous fight, Rousey lost her UFC title by being knocked out by Holly Holm in Nov. 2016.
Despite losing to Holm, Rousey is ranked higher than her. Holm is currently ranked No. 5 in the division.
Rousey is ranked above Raquel Pennington even though Pennington is on a four-fight win streak. Her win streak includes wins over former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, and former title challengers Bethe Correia and Jessica Andrade.
Rousey is ranked so highly due to her being the most dominant champion in the history of her division. She managed to defend her title on six occasions. She has title defense wins over Liz Carmouche, Alexis Davis, Sara McMann, Cat Zingano, Bethe Correia, and Miesha Tate.
