Many UFC fighters are looking to cash in on the upcoming boxing match between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
Among the fighters trying to benefit from the fight is UFC women’s bantamweight Jessica Eye.
“Connor vs Mayweather fights actually happening. The money this fight will make is (shocked emoji) can I be a cheerleader for small amount or towel girl (for) 1%,” Eye said in a tweet.
McGregor is already the highest paid fighter in the UFC. After fighting Mayweather, McGregor is expected to be one of the highest paid athletes in all of sports.
Eye has fallen on some tough luck in the UFC. She is currently on a four-fight losing streak. In her last fight, she lost a split decision to Bethe Correia. Her other three losses were by decision against Miesha Tate, Julianna Pena, and Sara McMann.
Eye is scheduled to fight Aspen Ladd at The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption Finale on July 7.
Mayweather vs. McGregor is scheduled to take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
