Floyd Mayweather Sr. has reacted to allegations of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor getting knocked out while sparring.
Professional boxer Jessie Vargas has recently made claims that McGregor got knocked out while sparring with fellow professional boxing Brandon Rios.
When asked about McGregor getting knocked out, Mayweather Sr. didn’t seem to think it was that big of a deal.
“We can make this guy miss all night and punish him all night,” Mayweather Sr. said. “It’s not no big deal. If he thinks he’s fast, we are going to see.”
McGregor is currently training to make his professional boxing debut. Next month, McGregor will fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in what is already one of the biggest fights in combat sports history.
Mayweather has been retired for the past two years but is returning to the sport to earn what may be the biggest payday of his legendary career.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
