Former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson shared a message to both of the fighters competing in Saturday’s main event.
At UFC 214, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title against former champion Jon Jones.
On Friday, Gustafson sent out a message on his Facebook page saying he wants to fight the winner of Cormier vs. Jones.
“Let them fight, I’m ready for either one, want my rematch and I want my belt!” Gustafson said.
“Gonna watch the fights from my summerhouse and enjoy the beautiful Swedish summer. Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa my friend, have fun and bring back a W for the team.”
Gustafsson’s teammate Jimi Manuwa will also be competing at UFC 214. He will fight Volkan Oezdemir, and the winner of that fight will also have a strong claim of being next in line for a light heavyweight title shot.
Gustafson is coming off a brutal knockout win over fellow former title challenger Glover Teixeira in May.
