Jon “Bones” Jones made a successful return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) over the weekend. Fighting in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 214, Jon Jones regained his light heavyweight title with a knockout finish over heated rival Daniel Cormier. Now, top contenders from the division have begun calling out the new champion.
UFC light heavyweight top contender Alexander Gustafsson faced off against Jon Jones at UFC 165 back in 2013, ultimately losing by unanimous decision. Now, the fighter has decided to call out Jon Jones once more.
Over Twitter, Alexander Gustafsson stated “@JonnyBones congrats Champ. Stop asking for retired fighters, I’ve been waiting to put my hands on you and so have all the fans.”
