The world of MMA has once again tragically lost one of its own.
On Saturday, an MMA fighter passed away after an amateur fight in Louisville, Kentucky.
At Hardrock MMA 90, heavyweights Donshay White fought Ricky Muse in a preliminary fight. Both fighters were exhausted by the end of their fight. In the end, Muse earned a TKO victory in the second round.
After the loss, White struggled to regain his composure inside the ring. After several minutes, the promoter of the event canceled the rest of the show.
Once White made his way backstage, he struggled to stay conscious. White was then sent to a local hospital in Kentucky where he later passed away.
White passed away at the age of 37. He had just begun his MMA career. He had one previous amateur fight, which he won in 2015.
RIP Donshay White. #MMA
