The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has put another exciting night of fights in the books. UFC 214, one of the year’s most highly anticipated fight cards, went down tonight, July 29. In the night’s main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones faced off against reigning champion and rival Daniel Cormier.
In another exciting fight from the night, UFC featherweight Brian Ortega faced off against Renato Carneiro. In an interesting turn of events, Ortega has set a new UFC record.
Ortega earned a submission finish over his opponent in the third round. The victory made for Ortega’s fourth consecutive win within the third round of a UFC fight.
