Just a week after UFC produced one of their fight of the year contenders, Bellator MMA produced one of their own.
On July 7, Justin Gaethje made his UFC debut in a back-and-forth war that saw him defeat lightweight contender Michael Johnson by TKO in the second round.
Last Friday, the main event of Bellator 181 had a similar finish when Derek Campos defeated Brandon Girtz by TKO in the second round. Campos vs. Girtz was also a main event fight in the lightweight division, just like Gaethje vs. Johnson.

Campos is now on a four-fight win streak in Bellator. His last loss was a TKO loss to Girtz back in 2015.
This was the third fight between Campos and Girtz. Campos won their first battle by winning a unanimous decision back in 2013.
