Bellator Champ Walks Into UFC Gym, Breaks UFC’s Punching Machine Record With One Shot

Bellator Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima showed off his striking power at the brand new UFC Performance Institute.

Lima tested his striking power on a punching machine, and with one shot, Lima shattered the record. In the video bellow, you can see Lima show off his knockout power. His jiu jitsu (BJJ) and MMA coach Roan “Jucao” Carneiro was on hand to film Douglas showing off his power, but has seen it many times over the years at American Top Team Atlanta.

“The bellator champ (Douglas Lima) walk into the UFC Performance Institute and decimate the power punch machine. *Record high before douglas got there was 52k lbs per square inch set by some heavyweight boys… as a Forest Griffin said now he is top 5 in that machine,” UFC fighter Roan Carneiro wrote on his Instagram page.

Lima is known for being a knockout artist. He won the Bellator title by knocking out Andrey Koreshkov.

Despite not being in the UFC, Lima is still considered to be one of the best 170-pound fighters in the world. Last month, Lima successfully defended his title by winning a decision against Lorenz Larkin at Bellator: NYC.
