It appears Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson may finally meet inside the Octagon.
Russian sources have confirmed that Nurmagomedov will fight Ferguson on Nov. 4.
UFC 217 is expected to take place Nov. 4. This will be the UFC’s second pay-per-view event to take place at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Nurmagomedov and Ferguson are among the top contenders in the UFC lightweight division. The winner of this fight would without a doubt be the top contender in the weight class.
In March, at UFC 209, Nurmagomedov and Ferguson were scheduled to fight for an interim UFC lightweight title. However, Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from the fight due to illness.
UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has shown interest in fighting Nurmagomedov in December. However, with McGregor fighting Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match in his next fight, McGregor’s UFC career is uncertain.
