Former UFC title challenger Claudia Gadelha is getting her wish.
After requesting the fight on social media, Gadelha is scheduled to fight fellow former title challenger Jessica Andrade.
Recently, both elite fighters said they wanted to fight each other on their Instagram accounts.
According to Combate, Gadelha will fight Andrade at the UFC’s upcoming Fight Night in Japan on Sept. 23.
Gadelha is currently ranked No. 1 in the official UFC women’s strawweight rankings. She is currently on a two-fight win streak.
Gadelha is coming off her most impressive performance in the UFC. In June, she submitted Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the first round in the co-main event of UFC 212.
Andrade is currently ranked No. 4 in the UFC’s strawweight division. She is coming off a hard-fought battle against UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk that saw the champion earn a decision win.
The UFC’s next visit to Japan will be headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua fighting in a rematch against Ovince Saint Preux.
