UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is a confident man going into the biggest fight of his career.
Next month, McGregor will step into a boxing ring and fight for the first time as a professional. His opponent will be one of the greatest boxers to ever put on a pair of gloves Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
On Tuesday, McGregor sent out a message to the people who are doubting him going into his next fight.
“You are all going to eat your words for the rest of your days, while I eat lobster for the rest of mine,” McGregor said on Twitter.
McGregor is expected to receive the biggest payday of his career when he fights Mayweather. The two will compete in a 12-round boxing match that will be contested at 154 pounds.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Saturday, August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
