UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier recently released an intense video statement to his upcoming opponent.
Cormier will defend his title against former champion Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 214 on July 29.
Cormier and Jones have been involved in one of the most heated rivalries in all of MMA. This past week, the hostility between the fighters grew after the two traded insults on social media.
“People always say that he’s in my head, but if you look at my posts, there are eight pictures in the course of two weeks that he has commented on. I’m sure he’s just watching me work. I’m telling you right now Jon, watch all you want. You will never get an idea of how hard I work by looking at some pictures,” Cormier said.
“It’s only a glimpse. I’m busting my (expletive). I hope you’re training your (expletive) off down there in Albuquerque because if you aren’t, I’m going to embarrass you and expose you for the fraud and cheat that you’ve always been.”
